With a rent to buy trade vehicle from New Rental, you get:

Brand new fit-for-purpose commercial vehicle customised to your requirements
60-month term (with a minimum 24-month commitment)
$2,000 vehicle buyout at term end (plus ~$450–$750 stamp duty refund)

Additionally, your weekly rental includes:

Registration & CTP (5 years)
Comprehensive insurance
Servicing & maintenance (to 160,000 km)

Are there any upfront costs?

To make it as easy as possible for tradies to access customised trade vehicles on a rent to buy contract, you’ll only need to pay 2 weeks rent in advance and a refundable bond of $2,000.

How does servicing and excess kilometres work?

The following servicing and excess kilometres conditions apply to our rent to buy vehicle contracts:

Follow the manufacturer’s schedule (within a 1,000 km window)
Only use authorised dealerships for servicing and repairs
Coverage is provided up to 160,000 km
Quarterly kilometre limit monitored (e.g., 8,100 km per quarter)
Excess kilometre are charged at $0.10/km
Unused excess kilometre charges are reimbursed if under 160,000 km at term end.

Can I return my vehicle and exit the contract early?

Yes, after a 24-month minimum period it’s possible to return your vehicle and exit your contract early. The following early return fees apply:

Return Timing	Return Fee Equivalent
Within 36 months	6 weeks’ rental
Between 36–48 months	3 weeks’ rental
After 48 months	Flat fee of $500

Other return conditions:

Refuelling/cleaning fees may apply if not in return condition
Early payout available case-by-case
Buyout at end of 60 months: $1,500 + stamp duty.

What are the insurance excess rates?

Full comprehensive insurance included with our rent to own trade vehicles. In the event of an accident, the following excess rates apply:

Standard excess: $2,500

Additional excess:

21–25 yrs or <2 yrs licence: +$1,600
Off-road damage: +100% excess
Non-owned trailer: +$2,500.

Your excess is refunded if you’re not at fault and recovery is successful.

Are there any ongoing costs for customers?

With our rent to buy trade vehicles, the only ongoing costs for customers are fuel and tolls (personal e-tag or weekly invoice).

Everything else is included in your rent to buy package!
